A seamstress from the age of 9, Erin found a passion for art and enjoyed the social aspects in 4-H sewing classes. She also took pleasure in embroidery and crochet as a young girl, but it wasn’t until she took up knitting that she found a community of people who felt the same way about social crafting as she did.

After college, where she earned 3 degrees in art and interior design, and many interesting careers, she decided to open a store that had every craft she was looking for, but couldn’t find in one place. Bobbin’s Nest Studio was inaugurated on September 29, 2007. Surrounded by people of like mind and ideas, including her 4-H sewing teacher, Erin found the encouragement and motivation that she needed to pursue her dream.
