Knitty Biddies: Learn to knit from the ground up!
Fridays May 9th & 23rd from 5:30-7:30pm with Lisa K.
$80 per student, ages 16+. No experience required.
In this class students will learn to cast-on, knit, purl, fix basic mistakes and bind-off, which is everything a knitter needs to know to get started on their first project! This class will focus on English Style knitting. There is a class maximum of six students, and this class tends to fill quickly so register ASAP.

Beginning Contiknital: Dive in to knitting!
Thursdays May 8th & 15th from 5:30-7:30pm with Mel. G.
$80 per student, ages 16+. No experience required.
Are you left handed? Did you learn to crochet before you decided to try knitting? Then this is the perfect class for you! Learn to cast-on, knit, purl, fix basic mistakes and bind-off using the Continental method. There is a class maximum of six students.

Knit-a-Round: De-mystify the DPN.
Friday May 30th from 5:30-7:30pm with Lisa K.
$40 per student, ages 16+. Skills Needed: Cast-on, knit, purl.
‘Scarves, scarves, scarves... what else is out there?’ Many a knitter has mumbled this phrase, and with reason; There are so many things that one can knit using DPNs, but all of those pointy ends can be intimidating, if not confusing! This class focuses on casting-on and knitting in the round, so bring a project you’d like to start and conquer the DPN with us! There is a class maximum of four students.

Feather & Fan Lace Scarf: Learn to knit beautiful lace.
Saturday May 10th from 3-5pm, or Wednesday May 21st from 5:30-7:30pm with Lisa K.
$40 per student, ages 16+. Skills Needed: Cast-on, knit, purl.
Feather and Fan lace is probably one of the most popular patterns around, and it’s so simple to master. Impress others by knitting a beautiful lacy scarf... and only you will know how easy it really is! There is a class maximum of six students, this class fills quickly!

Switching Teams: Continental knitting for English knitters.
Saturday May 17th from 2-4pm with Mel G.
$40 per student, ages 16+. Skills Needed: Cast-on, knit, purl.
Are you a thrower and want to be a picker? Or, maybe you want to become more comfortable with Continental work to do Fair-Isle. This class is designed for knitters that already know their way around a pair of needles, but want to learn to control the yarn in their left hand. We’ll cover both knitting and purling, and learn a ‘secret’ trick that makes purling Continental a breeze. Once you’re done you’ll never again dread working seed stitch. There is a class maximum of four students, and spots fill very quickly.

Lace & Eyelets: Understanding lace techniques and patterns.
Saturday May 17th from Noon-1:30pm with Meg.
$65 per student, ages 16+. Skills Needed: Cast-on, knit, purl, y/o, increases, decreases.
Y/o, k2tog, ssk, psso... No, it’s not secret code for ‘Way too hard, try something else!’ You can see how they knit the patterns, but what would it look like with your yarn, your needles, and your gauge? Let’s go through the book and find out. Students will pick patterns, and the class will work through them. With Meg as your instructor and Harmony Lace & Eyelets book at your side you’ll find lace knitting to be a simple task. There is a class maximum of five students.

Violeta Wrist Warmers: Meet the designer and warm your hands!
Saturday May 17th from 4:30-6:30pm with Mel G.
$47 per student, ages 16+. Skills Needed: DPNs, knit, purl, y/o, increases, decreases.
Designed by a friend & customer of the store specifically for our Hazel Knits Artisan Sock Yarn, “Violeta” Wrist Warmers are delicate, pretty and feminine. Say ‘hello!’ to Spring with these lacy wrist warmers! This class is taught by the designer herself, Melissa Goodale. There is a class maximum of four students.

Beginning Crochet: Master the basics of Crochet.
Thursday May 29th from 5:30-7:30pm with Lauren.
$50 per student, ages 12+. No experience required.
Have you been admiring our cute Amigurumi patterns and kits, but don’t know where to start? Let Lauren guide you through the basics of crochet, and by the end of the class you’ll be prepared to take on almost anything! The class will cover chain, single and double crochet stitches. Cost includes TNNA’s How to Crochet booklet. There is a maximum of 6 students, so sign up fast!

Embroidered Lettering: Your name has never looked so good...
Wednesday May 14th from 5:30-7:30pm with Didi B.
$50 per student, ages 16+. No experience required.
Embroidered items are simple, delicate and make wonderful family heirlooms. Learning to embroider names, days of the week, or any other word you can think of is a great skill to have in your craft-arsenal. This class will focus on the simple techniques of following curves, pattern transfers, and how to personalize fabric items with embroidered text. Cost of the class includes a Floursack Towel to take home, as well as the use of store needles and floss. There is a maximum of four students.

Anatomy of a Sewing Machine: What is that do’hickey?!
Saturday May 10th from 2-3:00pm. with Erin.
$20 per student, ages 16+. No experience required.
Sewing machines are all pretty darn similar, but you should learn the technical terms before getting started on a project. Join Erin and be introduced to your sewing machine--or one of ours. This class will not involve actual sewing, but is a fun sewing necessity! There is a class maximum of six students.

T-Shirt Beach Bag: A bag to feel good about!
Saturday May 10th from 5-6:00pm with Didi.
$10 per student, ages 12+. No experience required.
Did you know that every year more than 500 billion plastic bags are thrown into landfills after just one use? Help protect your environment without blowing your purse budget with this speedy, cute and creative project. All sewing supplies are provided for in this class, but we ask that you bring your own T-Shirt. There is a maximum of six students.

Reversible Tote Bag: Take it to the beach, to the mall and to the park!
Saturday May 24th from 2-5:30pm with Rita.
$65 per student, ages 16+. Skills Needed: Pattern cutting, reading, pinning, sewing straight and curvy lines.
Rita is back with another adorable pattern, a reversible tote bag! In this single session workshop Rita will guide you in creating your own Reversible Tote Bag, and teach you some valuable sewing tricks along the way. There is a class maximum of four students, and these classes fill-up fast so sign up ASAP!

Sew Easy Reversible Apron: Kiss the Chef!
Thursday May 22nd from 5:30-7:30pm with Erin.
$45 per student, ages 16+. Skills Needed: Pattern cutting, reading, pinning, sewing both straight and curvy lines.
Bacon grease, gravy mishaps, ketchup adventures... How many outfits have been stained by creative kitchen disasters in your house? Woosh!... Aprons to the rescue! Erin will walk you through the process of cutting and piecing your own reversible apron, just in time for that Memorial Day BBQ! Cost includes the Sew Easy Reversible Apron pattern, and use of BNS Sewing Machines. Students are responsible for bringing their own supplies, and are more than welcome to bring their own sewing machines. There is a class maximum of four students.

Cotton Napkins: Picnic on the beach, anyone?
Wednesday May 28th from 5:30-7:30pm with Lauren.
$40 per student, ages 16+. No experience required.
Take your meals up a notch, save money, and give your dish a personal touch by using cotton napkins instead of single-use paper napkins. After this class you’ll be prepared for the perfect summer BBQ! There is a class maximum of four students.

Private Lessons:
*Knitting: Are you working on a project and need some TLC? We're here to help! Please contact us for private lessons. They are available at a rate of $20/ hour.

*Sewing: Get all of the personal attention you need in the comfort of our sewing salon. Private lessons are available at a rate of $20/ hour, include use of the sewing machine with it's bucket of parts, project consultation and all the help you'll need to learn to sew!

*Embroidery: Learn to embroider with Didi! We now offer hand embroidery private lessons at rate of $20/hour.

*Crochet: We don't discriminate against crochet! Please contact us for private lessons. They are available at a rate of $20/ hour. Crochet up a granny square! Crochet an afghan! Crochet a baby blanket, but for goodness sake...crochet!

Please Note: There is a class minimum of two students in all classes, unless otherwise stated. In order to guarantee your placement in a class full payment is required upon registration. All cancellations must be received no later than 48 hours before your class meets. In the event of a last-minute cancellation you will be placed into the next months session, given a private lesson with an instructor, or given a partial refund in the form of a store gift card.
